You need a verified character first.
LFG rounds up bodies for a dungeon, heroic, scenario, challenge mode, world boss, or PvP bracket without spamming chat. Raids have their own home in /raid. 
Hootus posts the group, tracks who joins, and pings anyone who opted in.
1. Post a group
Run /lfg create. Hootus walks you through it with menus:
- Pick the kind of content (dungeon, scenario, challenge mode, and so on).
- Pick the specific instance or bracket.
- Pick a difficulty if it has one (Normal, Heroic).
- Pick a goal, then a day, hour, and minute. Or hit Now / drop-in for no set time, people join whenever.
- Hit Post, or Add notes first to add a line about it.
Hootus drops the group in the LFG channel with a Join button, opens a thread, and pings anyone opted into that content. You're the leader, auto-signed on your main.
2. Find a group
Run /lfg browse to see every active group, how many spots are open, and when each one starts. If your main can fill an open slot, Hootus flags it. Each group has an Apply link if you'd rather join from the web.
3. Join a group
Hit Join on the group post, or Apply from /lfg browse. You need a verified character first, so run /verify if you haven't. Pick your role and you're in. Hootus adds you to the group thread.
To back out, hit Leave on the post.
4. Run it and wrap up
Every post carries a Manage button. Press it and Hootus checks who you are, then opens a private panel only you can see:
- Start spins up a voice channel and pings the group. Leader only.
- Edit changes the title, time, or notes. Same as
/lfg edit. - Finish closes it out and clears the voice channel. Same as
/lfg finish. - Cancel calls it off. Same as
/lfg cancel. - Answer an application appears when someone is waiting on a yes.
- Take someone out of the group pulls a player off the roster, tells them kindly, and tidies up their access.
Officers can do all of that on any group. Starting a group stays with its leader. If you press Manage on someone else's group without the permission, Hootus just says so rather than handing you buttons that bounce.
5. Get pinged for what you want
Run /notifications tags and toggle on the pings you want. When someone posts that content, Hootus @mentions you. Toggle them off the same way.
