PUGs
PUGs sign up to a raid like anyone else. See Running a raid for the raid itself.
Get the links. Run /raid pug-invite on a raid for its web signup, Discord signup, and voice comms links. The standing links that are not tied to a raid live in Settings → Invite links. /raid quick spins up a public pug raid on the spot and hands you the same links. Share them anywhere.
Approve them. Every PUG and public signup posts an approval card. Route where these cards land in Settings → Channels. Hit Approve or Deny. Approved PUGs get a DM, a raid-scoped PUG role, and access to the raid thread and voice while it's live. Deny opens a box for an optional reason that goes to the player. Cleanup. PUGs are never kicked. After 7 days idle with no active raid, 
Hootus drops the PUG role and moves them to the sign-up hold. That hold is the Applicant role: they still see the sign-up channel and can jump onto any raid without officer re-approval. Run /pug block to keep someone out for good, or set its scope to one raid to shut them out of that raid only. /pug unblock lifts every block, or just the one on a raid you name, and /pug blocklist shows which scope each block has.
The pool. /pug pool lists everyone Hootus is holding, split into opted in, never answered, and opted out, with their raid count and the last date that matters. /pug remove drops someone from that list without blocking them.
Recruiting
The board. The recruitment board carries an Apply to join the guild button. Set what you're after and open or close applications in Settings → Recruitment. People apply in Discord, or on the web at your /apply page. Either way the application posts to your recruitment channel. Full walkthrough in Recruitment and applications.
Act on it. Hit Approve, Interview, or Reject on the card. Approving DMs the applicant a personal invite link good for 7 days, so nobody chases a static one. Reject opens a box for a reason.
Soft reserves and loot
Soft reserves. Most guilds run the list on softres.it and hand Hootus the link: set it in the planner, or run /raid edit raid-id:<id> softres:<link> in Discord. He carries it onto the signup post, the reminder nudge, and the lock DM, and softres:none takes it back off. There is also a built-in list in the web planner, but it is a beta. Loot. Gargul only, and the raid has to be finished first. Run /raid loot on a closed raid and paste your Gargul export. Hootus stores the log and shows you a summary of items and top looters.
Raid logs. Wire a raid logs channel in Settings, Channels and Hootus reads Warcraft Logs links posted there, working out which raid each one belongs to. That gives you real attendance, who was in which fight rather than who sat in voice, plus the bosses that died. /raid log attaches one by hand and detach: true removes it.
Absences and the away board
Turn on Away board in notifications, point it at a channel, and Hootus keeps one pinned message there listing who is out. It rewrites itself the moment anyone sets or clears away, so nobody has to hand-edit a post again.
Members set their own with /away set, and you can set it for someone who only told you in a DM: /away set duration:3 weeks reason:holiday member:@them. Split into who has a return date, who doesn't, and who leaves soon. /away list gives you the same view privately.
Away never touches roles. It pauses their nudges and marks them absent on raids inside the window, so the planner shows a real answer instead of silence. Clearing away puts those signups back exactly as they were.
When away turns into stepping back. Someone who went quiet and is not coming back to raiding should not sit on the away board forever. /demote member:@them takes the Raider rank off, clears their away status, and pulls their absence off every upcoming raid in one go. They keep their place in the guild, they just stop counting as a raider, so raid pings and signup chasing stop with the rank. Run /raider themselves, or hand the rank back in Discord, and they are a raider again.
Nobody gets a DM unless you write one. Add message: and Hootus sends them that, wrapped in a short line about using /raider to come back. Leave it off and the change happens quietly, which is usually what you want for someone who stopped logging in months ago.
