The night’s log gets re-read when the raid closes
Hootus used to read a report once, when it was posted, and that was that. Every boss killed after that moment was invisible to him, so a log posted at Gruul was missing Magtheridon. He now re-reads the reports on a raid when it closes and takes in whatever landed since.

A log that finally reads no longer wears two verdicts at once
When Hootus went back to a log and it worked this time, he put the ✅ on but left whatever he had said the first time sitting next to it. So the message read 💤 and ✅ together, which is two answers to one question. He takes his old reaction off before the new one goes on now, so the message says one thing.
A log posted before the first pull is no longer thrown away
The Warcraft Logs link tends to go up the moment the upload starts, which is before anybody has pulled anything. Hootus read it, found no boss fights, put a 💤 on it and never looked again. Two raid nights went unlogged that way. The waiting reaction is ⏳ now, because he is waiting rather than finished, and he goes back to the report every ten minutes and again when the raid closes. The moment bosses land it turns into a ✅ and the attendance is credited off it. A day with nothing in it is when it finally gets the 💤.
A database hiccup at boot no longer leaves Hootus half awake
Postgres stopped answering for a moment this morning while Hootus was waking up. He got one shot at checking the schema, missed it, and opened the doors anyway, which is the one state nobody wants him in. He waits now, tries again with a longer pause each time, and only gets on with the day once the database has answered. Nothing was out of date this time. Next time he will not have to be lucky.
